A roadmap to recovery for patients and their families.
Melanie’s life was flipped upside down when she discovered she had a brain tumour and an aneurysm, in 2019. To make matters worse, during surgery she had a stroke and was rendered inarticulate. When Melanie woke up in the hospital, she couldn’t talk, she couldn’t walk, she couldn’t read, she couldn’t remember what she’d just been told, she couldn’t tell day from night. But she knew she wasn’t going to die, and that she had a choice: to give up in defeat or fight like hell to get back up.
With great vulnerability and an unwavering sense of humour even in the darkest moments, My Journey Back To Me takes the reader on a true story of tragedy, trials, and resilience.
